Hi, I'm Samuel Kastor.
I'm a photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Most weeks that means portraits, couples, brand shoots, and real estate. Some weeks it means a flight somewhere new with a client who wanted photos there.
I keep sessions easy and unhurried. You don't need to know how to pose. That's my job.
Before photography I worked in real estate, marketing, and customer service, so I care about what a photo needs to say, whether that's personality, trust, or how a room feels at 5pm.
When I'm not shooting I'm usually running along the water, planning the next trip, or hanging out with my dogs Kooper and Stella.

So I keep sessions loose. We walk, we talk, I point you toward good light and then mostly get out of the way. You don't need to know how to pose. You just need to show up as yourself.
Home is the Bay. The work travels.
